Seit 2005 ist die Reisebranche ein Schwerpunktthema von uns. Wir haben erste Hand Erfahrung in der Vermietung von Ferienapartments, Ferienhäusern und Fahrzeugen, dem Betreiben von Guesthäusern sowie bei der Organisation und Durchfuehrung von Touren in Europa und Afrika.

Gleichzeitig hatten wir als globale ICT- und Unternehmensberatung die seltene Gelegenheit, die Entwicklung der Online Booking Engines und des Online-Reisemarketings genau zu verfolgen. In unserer Rolle als Dienstleister in der Reisebranche haben wir immer höhere Provisionen für die Sicherung unserer Buchungen gezahlt. Dieser kostenintensive Markttrend mit dem die Branche konfrontiert ist, hat uns inspiriert, über eine Alternativen nachzudenken. Wie können wir die hohen Provisionen vermeiden, die von Gästen und Dienstleistern gezahlt werden? Und wie können wir den direkten Kontakt zwischen Dir als Gast und dem Anbieter wiederherstellen?

In der Realität ist die Beantwortung der scheinbar einfachen Fragen, wie man Provisionsgebühren von bis zu 30% vermeidet und den direketen Kontakt herstellt, komplexer als vermutet.

Nach monatelanger Recherche wurde eines Klar, es gibt nur noch zwei grosse Unternehmen die 90% des Online Reisemarktes beherrschen. Wer also denkt das stundenlanges Suchen auf verschiedenen Buchungswebseiten ein besseres Ergebis liefert, sollte vorher genau wissen welche rund 200 Buchungsseiten zu unseren zwei Globalplayern gehören.

Ebenso haben wir festgestellt, dass viele Buchungssysteme der Hotels, Guesthouses usw. über einen Channelmanager verfügen. Dieser hat die Aufgabe den Zimmerpreis oder Tourpreis automatisch in die Buchungsportale einzuliefern. Meist wird nur ein Preis festgelegt und allen Portalen zur Verfügung gestellt. Nur wenige Anbieter haben verschiedene Preise je Portal oder betreiben eine Software die den Preis dem Bedarf und der Nachfrage anpasst. Das ist für kleine Unternehmen einfach zu teuer. Du als Gast kannst daher von Portal zu Portal springen und findest oft selben Preis.

Es gibt nur einen Weg, um Zeit und Geld zu sparen und die sinnlose Suche nach dem besten Preis zu beenden. Wenden Sie sich an den Dienstleister und fordern Sie einen Preis für die direkte Buchung an. Um sich das sinnlose Suchen nach dem besten Preis zu ersparen, gibt es nur ein Mittel. Kontaktiere den Anbieter direkt und frage nach seinem Angebot für eine Direktbuchung. Der Anbieter spart die Kommissionzahlung und baut eine direkte Beziehung mit Dir als Gast auf. Was kann es Schöneres geben? Leider dauert die Suche nach den Kontaktdaten des Anbieters und das Warten auf eine Antwort ebenso lange und kann den Buchungsprozess auf einige Tage verlängern.
